Remarks & Notes |
As the fog clears over Virginia's Shenandoah Valley on a steamy morning, Norfolk Southern train 202 (Rossville, TN-Rutherford, PA intermodal) is pulled by two specially painted Norfolk Southern engines. Its lash up consisted of both NS 4003 (DC-AC Conversion Unit) and NS 8099 (Southern Railroad Heritage Unit). Here it is seen crossing the Dry Run Creek trestle (an Ex-Norfolk and Western Railway trestle) on the NS Hagerstown district in a hamlet known as Compton located on US Route 340. |
