Working their way southbound through the rain in Fairville, NY are OMID ALCo's 36 (RS-11) and 408 (RS-36) with a single covered hopper in tow. Both locomotives were required for this day's train as there were 12 cars dropped off by CSX for the northbound run.
New York state has the largest number of ALCO diesel locomotives working in everyday service. Here are some of them. Soon I hope to chronicle all of them.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
