UP 1983, the Western Pacific heritage unit, slowly approaches the northern end of Brighton where it'll stop to meet two southbound trains. With all of the crossing at Brighton, northbound trains that will meet south-bounders will hold just south of town till the opposing trains are closer, so crossings aren't blocking for long periods of time.
