This Has been a crossover point for over 133 years since the Memphis, Birmingham, and Atlantic railroad First built the line in 1887 Across the Mobile & Ohio Railroad here in Tupelo Ms. The Memphis, Birmingham, and Atlantic Railroad was succeeded by Frisco, BN, and now BNSF. The M & O Railroad was succeeded by GM&O, ICG, Mid South, and now KCS.
