| More then 7 years after the "crocodile" Ce 6/8 II # 14270 of SBB Historic was removed from the exhibition place in Erstfeld (see https://www.railpictures.net/photo/720937/ ), the locomotive was transported on a road low loader to it's new final destination in the quarter of Zürich Oerlikon, where the electric parts were fabricated by the MFO (Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon) about 100 years ago. The locomotive left Erstfeld in april 2017 to Biel, where it was refurbished outside only and was then moved to Zürich Seebach in february 2018. Now it is placed in front of the pwc (Pricewaterhouse Coopers) building at the crossing of the Birch- and the Binzmühle street. |
