Remarks & Notes |
The Denver Leadville & Gunnison No. 191 is the oldest steam locomotive in Colorado and a unique survivor with a Congdon stack. Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia in 1880, it worked between Denver and the mountain towns in Colorado moving gold and silver ore, coal and timber. It sits with other vintage period rolling stock in the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, Colorado. |
