| Green Bay and Western C430 315 resting outside the shop at Norwood Yard in Green Bay June 1978. The 315 was built in February 1968 and served the GBW until suffering a broken crankshaft in 1986. The head and pistons from the 315 were reused in RS11 309 and then the 315 was donated to the National Railway Museum in Green Bay in June 1987. This was the GBW's sole C430 and was built with Alco's Hi-Ad(High Adhesion)trucks. John Swift Photo from my Collection. |
