BNSF Railway 7700 series ES44DC's were once a staple in the Los Angeles-Barstow hauler trains, now displaced by brand new ET44C4's. Here we see ES44DC 7739 along with 3 other 7700s pulling the Kaiser-Barstow hauler up Cajon Pass. This location, known as Silverwood, is where the uphill grade begins to level off before reaching the sweeping curve at Cajon Summit. On the lower left, notice the original Santa Fe main track, now BNSF main 3, dropping away from the other 2 main tracks.
