Farm, West Virginia: West of the coal mining town of Welch, WV, Farm is the control point for pushers, sent from Bluefield, to rendezvous with their manifest or coal train heading East. Given this was Labor Day weekend, I was quite surprised to see the line-up here at Farm as compared to what I saw about a month earlier. Furthermore, there was a crew sent here from Bluefield to change with an eastbound manifest heading from Portsmouth, Ohio earlier that morning. Even with the age of steam long gone, it's still neat to see all of this action here among relics of the past.
