Remarks & Notes |
On a day trip to the Norfolk Southern’s famed Pocahontas Division, we visited a few of the popular locations. After waiting for several hours to get a train at the signature shot crossing Tug Fork coming out of Welch Tunnel, we heard Westbound empty grainer 51E call the signals at Welch. Being way out of cell phone range we had no idea the PRR heritage unit was leading. We were very happily surprised to see a Tuscan Red nose emerge from the bore. |
