Remarks & Notes |
The cement coaling tower at CP Farm is an iconic location on the former Norfolk & Western Pocahontas Division. The tower is a holdover from the days when Y and A-class steam locomotives dominated this territory hauling black diamonds out of the heart of Appalachia. CP Farm is also where pusher sets are often added to heavy coal trains going over Elkhorn Grade. |
