Soo Line FP7A no. 500 is on permanent display with a short Soo Line passenger train at Ladysmith, WI. This view shows the original Soo Line scheme nicely from the fireman's side of the unit. FP7s were 4 ft. longer than an F7A, noticeable behind the lead truck. This permitted greater water storage capacity for the steam genarator. Soo's scheme certainly resembled NP's freight scheme.
