Remarks & Notes |
Soo Line RS27 416 at 21st St. Roundhouse in Superior August 1965. The 416 was built in April 1962 and was one of two RS27s on the Soo Line. 415 and 416 were known as the "Dolly Sisters" on the Soo Line and were well known as the power for the St. Paul Transfer in the Twin Cities during the 70s. Before their reliability issues became apparent, These units could be seen all over the Soo system during the 60s and could be seen in places like Schiller Park, N. Fond Du Lac, Chippewa Falls and Noyes MN. Both of the Dolly Sisters were retired in 1981. Unknown Photographer Photo from my Collection. |
