Re 421 # 387 of the IRSI, former Re 421 # 387 of SBB Cargo or Re 4/4 II # 11387, was painted in a nice steel blue/cream paint scheme reffering to the express train "Rheingold" of the Deutsche Bundesbahn in the early 1960'. In Switzerland, there was never a locomotive in this paint scheme. When the "Rheingold" was prolonged from Basel to Geneva and upgraded to a TRANS EUROP EXPRESS, the train was pulled by a green Re 4/4 I locomotive in Switzerland. The cobalt blue/cream color of the Rheingold cars changed to the red/cream of the TEE in 1966/67.
