Central Remnant. MTA Metro-North Railroad Train 8849 (MNCW 220, P32AC-DM leading) passes the former New York Central Railroad signal bridge south of the Scarborough Station on Thursday, July 9, 2020. In the background, the New Tappan Zee (Governor Mario Cuomo) Bridge spans the widest area of the Hudson River. The signal bridge is one of several of its kind in the area, none of which have had signals on them for many years.
With three lines radiating north out of Grand Central Terminal plus service to Port Jervis on the former Erie, Metro North covers a wide swatch of New York's northern suburbs with varying terrains.
