CN GP40 no. 9317 and a VIA heater car are surrounded by VIA FP9s, F9Bs and MLW FPA & B4s in downtown Toronto. This large CN engine facility by 1981 was handling VIA and Ontario Northland passenger power. At this time VIA was not afraid to mix MLW and GMD power and apparently following CN tradition, even used freight power (CN 9317) with a heater car on some assignments.
