In the glare of the low December sun, the double section electric locomotive ET42-041 hauling a heavy freight train with steel from Dąbrowa Górnicza Towarowa to Kraków Nowa Huta. In 2008, the entire ET42 series was discontinued in Poland. In 2011, due to shortages of rolling stock, individual locomotives were brought back into service. At the beginning of their return to service, they were served by the heaviest freight trains in southern Poland.
