Remarks & Notes |
Guilford Rail System: MEC 507 shocked the New England railfan community as it emerged from the Pan Am Railways Waterville paint booth in a fresh coat of Guilford Rail System. A name the company had not painted on their locomotives since as far back as 2005, the sight of a freshly repainted “Guilford” is truly immaculate. The paint booth did a. great job with this one, including a tribute of “E.L. ‘88” stenciled on the cab on both sides. As for who or what this symbolizes and why a Pan Am-painted locomotive was given a fresh coat of “Guilford” continues to puzzle most railfans alike, but it sure is one great looking locomotive to see roaming the rails in 2020! |
