Moffat Sand A unit sand train climbs the Big 10 on the Moffat Road. The sand is headed for the oil and gas fields of Western Colorado and Central Utah. The vast basin between the Main Range of the Rocky Mountains and the Wasatch Mountains is one of largest oil and gas fields in the USA.
