Westbound, high out on the Flatirons above the Great Plains in full snow flock the Provo manifest swoops in and out of tunnel 2, 3, and onward to the Great Divide.
Snow-Flock hunting the Moffat Subdivision on this morning was a bountiful harvest. The day before at least a 1/4” of ice coated every tree, sign, pole, photographer, and animal in the tunnel district. Overnight we picked up easily a foot of new snow that clings to everything from Plainview to Crescent and in Eldorado Canyon. Off I was before sun-up, 4x4 chained up; hoping for some trains, luckily I got 2 on this glorious of days and it was well worth the effort despite narrowly escaping the grip of a slippery bentonite ice covered 2’ deep in snow nightmare of a back road deep in the tunnel district east of Crescent. Thanks to a good friend who lives on the road he had a handy tow rope in his Jeep. Shot on Mavic Pro 2.
