Remarks & Notes
Out of only a handful of operators, seeing a B23-7R “Super 7” rebuild anywhere in the United States is nearly impossible. The Connecticut Southern Railroad is one of those very few remaining operators, in this shot, CSO-4 is seen charging past the Windsor-Locks Canal on the Amtrak Springfield Line with Providence & Worcester #2215 leading, a former Western Pacific U23B prior to receiving one of the first modern locomotive overhauls (8/24/20).
