ESWR 603, 601 and 602 blend in perfectly with the rugged, desert terrain as they pass Escalante Junction. Having just dropped off the conductor, the train of coal loads will continue to the Western Fuels' Association Generating Station. After basically striking out on this railroad in August 2019, I knew that another trip was in order when news broke that the plant was closing at the end of 2020. As it turned out, the final move was on April 29th, much earlier than originally anticipated. We had a successful 4 day trip to the area this time around.
