Two C40-8s, an SD40-2, and a B39-8 lead southbound train CT-1 towards the Route 150 crossing in Wallingford. The train consists of hoppers loaded with aggregate and is headed for Cedar Hill yard in North Haven. Later at night, a new crew operating as train CHFP will make the trip to Fresh Pond yard in Queens, NY. Note the NH logo on the nose of 4050. Although the locomotive is a former Norfolk Southern, this trackage dates back to the New Haven Railroad Air Line and at the time, it was the fastest passenger route to Boston.
