Locomotive 103 # 222 of Railadventure (former E 03 # 222 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn/Deutsche Bahn, built in 1974). The 7780 kW locomotive is still approved up to 280 km/h, with the bogies of 103 # 118 and was initially used throughout Germany for test and measurement runs for the Research and Technology Center Minden (FTZ). By November 30, 1989, it had retired from the regular stock of vehicles and was redesignated 750 # 003 of DB Systemtechnik as successor of the FTZ continued these operations and maintained the stationing of the locomotive in Minden. In 2005 it was re-subscribed to 103 # 222. In 2015 103 # 222 was auctioned off to RailAdventure for 551,000 €. In 2015 the locomotive has again received a general inspection with repainting in the corporate design of RailAdventure at the Dessau plant. The locomotive is seen in St.Margrethen, pulling the Re 620 # 003 of Railadventure, former Re 6/6 # 11603 prototype of the SBB. The 103 # 222 is not approved to pull trains in Switzerland because lack of ATP, but allowed to move in stations under own power.
