Factory-fresh Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Dash 8-40BW 519 (built 10/90) sits in the railway’s Corwith Yard, awaiting it’s next assignment. These were heady days on the Santa Fe, as the 500s followed the 100-class GP60Ms into service, with their "Superfleet" paint scheme, reminiscent of the old "Warbonnet" passenger scheme, adding extra flair to the hot intermodal trains to which they were assigned.
