Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Alco C425 number 428 crosses over Pole Bridge Road in Avon, New York, just north of where the road crosses Conesus Creek. The train is an excursion train for the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum, utilizing LA&L power and crews with museum supplied New York Central coaches.
New York state has the largest number of ALCO diesel locomotives working in everyday service. Here are some of them. Soon I hope to chronicle all of them.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
