Remarks & Notes |
On a cold afternoon, CN 3205 is about 30 miles into a 1400 mile trip heading south with the first test all-rail taconite train between U.S Steel Minntac and a large bulk commodity facility named CMT (Convent Marine Terminal) on the lower Mississippi River near New Orleans, Louisiana which will in turn export these taconite pellets to Europe. The train has 150 Ortner-like cars and using 2x2 locomotives (3205/3124/2829/2943) to load and move 19,000 tons of acid (non-flux) pellets. |
