| Back when I started for CN in 2004, the locals between Waterloo and Fort Dodge would meet mid-day around the Webster City/Williams area and swap trains. The jobs this day meet here at Webster City and conductor JJ Brustkern is seen here making a call to ask "what next" questions for the trip home. Electronic devices weren't a big deal til after 2008, so scenes like this weren't too uncommon. JJ retired sometime around 2008?
The leader for 570 was an unusual SD40X on a SD35 frame IC 6071. The unit was build as a prototype SD40 with the first 645 prime mover, numbered EMD 434. The unit was donated to the Monticello Railway Museum in 2009 by CN.
