The two faces of mid-20th century commuter rail operations have been re-incarnated into the 21st century by NJ Transit to honor the legacy these roads have left behind. Pictured are trains #419 and #854 meeting west of Millburn station with ALP45DP 4519 and GP40PH-2 4109 on the west end of each consist. While the 4519 is roughly 10 years old, the 4109 is entering its 52nd year of commuter rail service in the Garden State.
