With a global pandemic still raging on and Metra running at reduced capacity due to low ridership, the company started somewhat of an "Ad Campaign", if you will, to welcome back passengers to a safe and Covid-friendly commuter service. The date is August 2nd and Metra has assembled a short train consisting of 4 coaches and the shiny Metra #402 at the Tinley Park 80th Avenue Station. This locomotive was recently repainted as a way to say "Thank You" to all of the politicians and government workers who helped keep Metra afloat during dark times such as these and has mostly been operating out of the Milwaukee lines up north. With the film crews still at work and a storm rolling in from the west, it's a race against the clock to film the final few scenes before they get drenched in rain.
