Remarks & Notes
Freeport McMoRan EMD GP38-2 No. 9 sits in the yard at Clifton, Arizona, on October 28, 2020. The locomotive is specially-painted to honor our United States military veterans, and is named “The Morenci 9.” Nine young men from the mining town of Morenci joined the Marine Corps in 1966, leaving town for Vietnam on July 4, 1966. Five were white, three Hispanic and one Navajo, and through their bravery, became known as “The Morenci Nine.” The 18-year-old men were ready for some adventure, but soon found themselves split apart, scattered across Vietnam. Of the nine that packed onto a Greyhound bus at the Texaco in Morenci that July fourth, only three returned home alive.

The worst of railroad design. Please, send me your entries / suggestions for the "Album of the ugly trains of the world" (past or present, paint scheme or shape).
