| Norfolk Southern's southbound intermodal train on the former Delaware & Hudson, 23K, passes under the classic searchlight signals at CPF-499 in Delanson, NY with the Virginian on point under smokey skies in the late afternoon on a warm September day. These signals date back to Canadian Pacific's ownership of the rail line. The sky was unusually hazy on this particular day due to smoke in the upper atmosphere from the wildfires in Oregon. The smoke combined with the late afternoon sun made for some very unique lighting conditions. |
