“Genesee Light” In the process of doubling a heavy train up the steep grade of the former WM mainline on Catoctin Mountain, MMID's UBHF power coasts downgrade at the east end of the Sabillasville horseshoe curve, returning east to retrieve the remaining 29 loads and eight empties tied down at Flint (mp 62). The westbound had stalled earlier at Flint due to a malfunction in one of the train's two GP38-3 helpers. At this point, 21 cement loads have already been hoisted to the CSX interchange at Highfield.
