Remarks & Notes |
The Strasburg's 0-6-0 No. 31 is climbing the grade at the Cherry Hill "station," passing the famous sign- "Pop. 17 (More or Less.)" No. 31 (CN 7312) was built by Baldwin in 1908 and made its first revenue run on the Strasburg on September 1, 1960. Several old-timers told me that "31 is hard on track." (Due to its main rod being connected to the center driver, I would suppose.) Note the 1984 Chevy Cavalier station wagon; not many of those on the road today. |
