Union Pacific has delivered a monstrous train to the Eastern Idaho Railroad in Rupert. To give you an idea, UP brought the cars in with six locomotives from the main line at Minidoka, Idaho down the branch to Rupert. GP39-2's WAMX 3918, 3916 now have the task of breaking up all these cars, and preparing a train for UP to take back. I spent about 5 hour in the Rupert, Burley area and was blown away how many rail related industries/carloads that are in this region. The Eastern Idaho railroad is a pretty big deal. I was pretty ecstatic to catch a couple train in action on Saturday.
