Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s Spokane to Great Falls freight train rumbles past the old wooden grain elevator at Vaughn, Montana, on September 5, 1998. Vaughn is 12.3 miles west of Great Falls on the railroad’s Sweet Grass Subdivision from Shelby.
