Two years ago today. On Sunday, December 2, 2018, Norfolk Southern Corp Train 041 crossed Starrucca Viaduct in Lanesboro, Pennsylvania while returning from Binghamton, New York to Oak Island Yard in Newark, New Jersey. The train and its personnel worked with Capital Region Toys for Tots the day before to operate the 19th annual and to date last Toys For Tots train on this route. Webb Rail's former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/sleeper "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) held the markers on the return in a consist that included cars and engines from Norfolk Southern, Juniata Terminal Railroad, Amtrak, and others. Through the generosity of the these partners and others such as Dunkin', Emery & Webb Insurance, and The New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway, thousands of toys and articles of clothing were distributed.
