Remarks & Notes |
Back in the heady pre-Y2K days some of us were foolish enough to think Norfolk Southern might actually have big plans for the long-neglected Southern Tier Line between Port Jervis and Binghamton. Case in point, NS OIPI-2B heading west across the Lackawaxen River at on a beautiful early fall afternoon. I assume these trains operated to Conway via Meadville and Youngstown. At this time NS train symbols had not yet been phased in and Conrail's alpha designations were still in use. |
