A photo of a train encounter that would never be possible planned. At the 107 meter long Schluchti tunnel on the Lötschberg south ramp, between Ausserberg and Hohtenn, two trains, both traveling at 80 km/h, meet right at the photographer's location. The Regio Express 4266 from Domodossola via Brig-Kandersteg-Spiez (4166)-Thun to Bern, driven by the "Lötschberger" RABe 535 # 124, was about 8 minutes late. In the opposite direction, RE (4165) 4265 from Bern via Thun-Spiez-Kandersteg-Brig to Domodossola, ran by "Lötschberger" trainset RABe 535 # 122, was on time.
