Remarks & Notes |
The Lake State's Wixom to Flint turn job Z127 is on their return trip as they rumble across the CN Flint Sub at Kearsley with freight destined to interchange the CSX. In early 2019 the CSX leased 50 miles of ex- Pere Marquette trackage between Flint and north of Plymouth to the LSRC. This beautiful set of cantilever signal protect the diamond that once was between the Pere Marquette and the Grand Trunk Western? GTW built 1st thru Flint in 1871, and PM built this "Belt Line" to by-pass downtown Flint in 1921. The track the LSRC is on was once double tracked due to all the passenger and freights back in the PM days, but now days it is single tracked. Cool feature of this signal is the double track signals are still in place with only one side lit.
