The Illinois Railway Museum "Happy Holiday Railway: The Holiday Light Experience" included former Chicago & North Western SD40-2 6847 and a small train lead by Lake Superior & Ishpeming 35 (2-8-0, Baldwin, 1916). With the cooperation of the museum, photography of the exhibit was made possible during a slower period of visitation on the night of Saturday, December 26, 2020. A big thanks goes out to the volunteers and members of the IRM for keeping up the holiday spirit in spite of all of the current challenges.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
