CP 6068 and 2 other SD40s lead a loaded ballast train south on the Marquette sub while the Mississippi is experiencing record breaking flooding. Dropping ballast along the way, they'll only make it as far as Le Claire before tying up. The tracks further south of Le Claire were completely flooded. The next day, the power ran around the siding in Le Claire and proceeded to head north to Dresser to refill the train and dump more ballast in the coming days. |
