Remarks & Notes
One of the iconic locations for subway photos in New York is the Queensboro Plaza Station in Long Island City, Queens. This double-deck elevated station is popular with photographers because it sees a lot of traffic, has a great view across the East River of the Manhattan skyline, and also features the Silvercup Studios sign as an element to include in the photos. In fact, this view is featured in the Pixar feature film "Soul," released in December 2020. On January 27, 2016, Kawasaki-built R188 car 7500 brings a northbound (eastbound) 7 Flushing Local into the upper level of the station on its way from 34th Street–Hudson Yards in Manhattan to Main Street in Flushing, Queens. Meanwhile, another train of R188 cars is arriving on the lower deck, possibly a southbound (westbound) 7 Train heading for Manhattan.
