Remarks & Notes
This is Only A Test

On a test run prior to the summer steam season, Chief Mechanical Officer Sam Lanter takes Grand Canyon Railway (ex-Lake Superior & Ishpeming) Consolidation #29 on an out and back trip to the South Rim between the journeys of the daily passenger train. Imbleau was once known as 'Apex' during the Santa Fe days and is the summit of the long climb from the floor of the railroad at Miller's Wash. The GCR management renamed it after the death of the railroad's first roadmaster. who helped bring it back into operation in 1989
