Back, Again. New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway UT-1 was lead by NYSW GP40 3040 (EMD, 5/1970) on the very cold morning of Thursday, January 7, 2021. This engine has taken quite a journey to wind up as the NYS&W UT-1 regular, beginning life as Atlanta & West Point 732, and later becoming Seaboard System 6652, CSX Transportation 6652, and Conrail Leasing Co 256. As the train approaches Schuyler Street in Utica, NY, it passes by the former watchtower, which is presently maintained by the Utica & Mohawk Valley Chapter, NRHS. The engine had recently been out of service due to mechanical failure.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
