Due to some kind of failure in the switch at Elizabeth, X581 was forced to stop short of it just past the North Elizabeth signal. After having a Track Inspector come out to visually confirm that it is lined for the main to the dispatcher, they give X581 permission to proceed south at restricted speed, which thanks to most of their still being on the hill just north of here, made the two GE's on the point put on a good show trying to get the train moving again.
