Don't Count Me Out. George's Creek Railway 101 (née-PRR 8427) is one of the few surviving Alco T6s, seen at the Luke Paper Mill in Luke, Maryland on the night of November 21, 2019. Verso announced the closing of the Luke paper mill by June 30, 2018, and production stopped on May 31, 2019, leaving this engine with an uncertain future. But recent hints by ownership on social media were apparently leading up to the announcement on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, that the plant had been purchased to become a lumber mill, leading to the insinuation that rail freight service will return.
"Purchase of Luke Mill Appears Imminent"

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
