Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific’s A-B-A set of E9s are fresh from a rebuild at VMV in Paducah, Kentucky, and are now headed west at Benton Junction, Illinois, on April 26, 1993. The train departed Paducah in the morning and headed up the Illinois Central main line to Akin Junction where it began heading west toward Benton. The southeast quadrant junction track the locomotives are just beginning to use is now ripped up.
