After getting a relief crew at Cowan, Q585-11 is seen passing above Rush Creek in the depths of the Cumberland Mountain this morning. As the rain begins to get heavier, the rushing current of Rush Creek begins to live up to its name. Also neat fact, just above is the biggest rock cut feature that sits in Tantallon and is also the pinned spot to quit a few derailments as well, most recent being the Q513 derailment in 2018 where CSX put two METX F40PH’s and a few select rail cars off the bluff seen in the picture.
