Remarks & Notes |
Well the winter has finally gotten good! Snow and wind has pushed the drifts out to the tracks on the Waterloo and Dubuque Subs for CN. I believe lack of power and people has not allowed the CN to run the Jordan so a stiff north wind over the weekend is drifting the railroad back in after ever train. 338 is plowing drifts as they make their way towards Dubuque. 337 was thru here before 7am but one wouldn't know it. The drifts aren't super big yet (I've seen them straight across here), but they were enough for a good show. The crew ended up stopping to clean the windows off after this mile thru here. Braving -30 wind chills and drifted roads can be a tough to get the shot, but its always worth it too me. Unfortunately I wished I didn't have to badordered the CN 8928 for a crappy air compressor, otherwise the BNSF would of been trailing on my 570 coming in last night and not leading today!!!! |
